Katie, of course I'll keep you in my prayers on this big worry of yours. There are many of us who "know" you from the "group," and you are a dear, sweet person. I'll put you at the top of my prayer list. Hang in there, my friend.

Hi Katie! I also belong to the gathering room, but haven't even checked it out in a long time. I got here from the link on Micki's blog. I just wanted to say I empathize with you, you are in my prayers, and I hope you get the surgery you need!

Hi hon,
I know how hard it is to lose that weight once it piles on. I was once small at 105 through school and at 4ft.6in. I am now 183. My highest was 225. It piled on me in my 30's. But I found a treadmill this winter for $40 and I walk it 20 minutes 2 times a day. I don't have as much trouble now as I did at first. I can do the whole 20 min. now and not be winded. So I really need to try for 30 minutes each time. I have went to eating 6 times a day. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, supper, snack and no more after 8pm. I drink about 5-6 glasses of something a day. Since my food also has liquid in it that equals the rest of the liquid I should be having a day. I try to limit my sugar and salt intake. I eat more fish, chicken and rice dishes. Other than that, that is how I have been losing my weight. I started this in Dec. and I have lost 14lbs. so far.
But I do a lot of praying and asking of the Lord's will to get me through all of this also. My better half is supportive and he is doing the same thing but at times we clash on the foods and he just eats 2-3 meals a day but he still seems to lose the weight. Like the TV commercial he loses more and I stay behind.
The Lord will help you with all you do, he knows your wishes more than you do.
God Bless,
Rev. Christina
